Support musicians, buy merch.
Today, triple j announced its annual Ausmusic T-Shirt Day will come a little early this year in an effort to support musicians impacted by coronavirus-related shutdowns and gig cancellations.
Usually taking place in November, this special edition of Ausmusic T-Shirt Day will happen on Friday April 17. Be sure to tune in to triple j, Double J or triple j Unearthed on the day, too, as all three stations will be playing nothing but Australian music all day long.
While we’ll all be stuck at home on the day, Ausmusic T-Shirt Day serves as a great unifier and an even better excuse to get out of your pjs.
So, if you’ve got the means, support your favourite Aussie band or artist by buying their merch and wearing it on April 17.
If you’re doing it tough, you can still show your support by wearing a band tee you already own and standing in solidarity with the countless musicians struggling through these unprecedented times.
