The first taste of Total Control LP number two is synth-y, but not Suicide synth-y like LP number one. Flesh War is a measured, heady new wave wash – its tension stemming from restraint, as opposed to the intensity of their live show. The build pays off with a cinemascope melodic excavation, sparkling keys chime overhead, mitigating the impulse for hardcore ferocity. New album Typical System, featuring a track called Liberal Party and cover art depicting that time a seagull and crow fucked up the Pope’s dove, out this June.
