Tonight’s Melbourne Music Week shows you can’t miss

It’s another cracking day to be a music lover in Melbourne. Here are some of our top picks from this year’s brilliant program, ranging from intimate recital performances to silent discos.

Ariel Pink

The LA-based singer-songwriter is gearing up for a very special show, bringing his discography to the Melbourne Recital Centre stage. His latest record, Dedicated To Bobby Jameson, is being touted as one of his finest releases yet.

Struggle With Glory: Harry James Angus

Harry James Angus – the man behind the Cat Empire’s tasty hornlines and vocals – will be paying tribute to tragedies and ethereal enchantments with a brilliant show showcasing storytelling, music, and of course, his unmistakable trumpet playing.

Synth Salon

For one night only, synth hub MESS Ltd will transform into an intimate performance space featuring immersive sets from Anuencia (Sooji Kim + Bryan Phillips), Emah Fox, Xenosine, Mads Davey and Naretha Williams.

Starless is a multi-sensory and immersive live-scored virtual reality experience that blurs the line between reality and dreams. Each session runs for 15 minutes a piece and can accommodate up to four people at a time. Prepare to leave your body behind.
