The iconic band’s first new music in over a decade.
TISM have been up and about in 2020. In April this year, they dropped a surprise live album on their Spotify page pulled from a gig they played at The Corner in 1988.
Then, in mid October, they revealed the news of two new albums set for release in December, including one with 100 minutes of total silence.
Now, TISM have announced another huge surprise.
On Tuesday November 17, the iconic bizarro rock band will release a new 7″ single titled For Those About To Rock. Not only will this record sport TISM’s first new music in over a decade but the A-side of the release was written by Malcolm Young, Angus Young and Brian Johnson.
Yep, the A-side of For Those About To Rock comes from three past and present members of AC/DC. Originally written by the three music legends in May 1995, the song presumably has a connection to AC/DC’s eighth studio album and song of the same name, For Those About To Rock (We Salute You). But whether it’s a re-release of the original or a TISM cover of the song is still unclear.
TISM’s B-side track, ‘Let’s Hang Around The Shopping Centre’, was written in 1998 on the band’s mobile recording unit.
Before the 7″ vinyl is released on Tuesday November 17, TISM are offering a limited edition fan offer on Monday November 16 which bundles six iterations of the record (in brown, blue, white, purple, black and red) with two new tees – an RIP shirt and Locator Map tee. This is now available via the TISM website.
From Tuesday, the 7″ and accompanying t-shirts will be available individually.
