Play acoustic groovy folk music and sing a few stories.

When did you form the band or did it just stumble upon you?
It’s never a formal process, but it doesn’t stumble upon you either. It came out of a need to give people something more than just a songwriter with a few yarns and a rhythmic strumming. I still play a lot of solo gigs though because I find you can hear the lyrics better.
What was the driving force behind the idea?
I had no idea it was going to happen.
Where has the name come from?
Tim Woodz And The Dirty Shoes? Well, it’s fairly biographical. But it came from people that work hard for a living.
Do you think that you have achieved what you set out to do?
I didn’t set out to do anything.
If you weren’t playing music you would be?
I’ll be doing whatever it is I’m doing when I’m not playing music.
What makes you happiest about what you’re doing?
If you’re not free in art, when are you free?
How do you all find time to work with so many musicians?
My songs aren’t difficult to digest, really. It takes an afternoon.
