Following the completion of the Labor Government’s near $1 billion Melbourne Park Redevelopment, the precinct is poised to welcome capacity crowds when the tournament descends on Melbourne from 16 to 29 January 2023.

Delivering a significant contribution to the Victorian economy, the precinct attracts more than 2.5 million people across 400 events every year, which include the Australian Open. The Australian Open alone delivered a combined economic benefit of $405.3 million during 2021 and 2022, while over the past 10 years the event has contributed $2.71 billion to the Victorian economy.

“Next year’s Australian Open will again deliver the iconic sporting spectacular the world loves, while offering great value ticket prices to ensure the whole family can be part of the action,” says Minister for Tourism, Sport and Major Events Steve Dimopoulos.
