This Tasmanian music festival just dropped its stunningly eclectic lineup

The Tasmanian event has billed the likes of Kurt Vile, Margaret Glaspy, Seun Kuti & Egypt 80 and Charles Bradley in the past and now they’ve gone one bigger in 2019, locking in a sprawling lineup from all corners of the globe.

Headlined by rising Perth art rockers Methyl Ethel, others set to take to Lone Star Valley are Texan trio Khruangbin, US rockers Snail Mail and Californian garage outfit Shannon & The Clams.

But the buck doesn’t stop there, and the lineup gets even more diverse the further down you go.

From Baker Boy, No Mono, Stella Donnelly and Kaiit, A Festival Called Panama would have already put together a stellar incarnation. Yet the names keep coming, with Rolling Blackouts Coastal Fever, Mojo Juju, Kira Puru, Donny Benet and RVG also set to perform.

Rounding out the 2019 bill are Clews, Merpire, Meres, Quivers, Christopher Coleman & The Great Escape, Baba Bruja, Paywand and The Stitch.

Introducing a new wristband system in 2019, the festival is going completely cashless for the first time. Locally brewed Tasmanian cider will be the drink of the town, while there will also be a thirst-quenching selection of craft beers and locally distilled spirits available.

The festival caps at 1,500 people and will go on sale to the Panama mailing first on November 13.
