Rock The Vax is pushing music lovers to get jabbed.

Golden Robot Records has launched an initiative to encourage Australians to get vaccinated against COVID-19, offering a free album on CD or vinyl to anyone who books in to get jabbed before August 15.

Dubbed Rock The Vax, the initiative allows participants to request a record of their choice to be mailed to their door in exchange for proof of vaccination.

What you need to know

  • Rock The Vax registrations are open until August 15
  • Participants can request which record they would like to receive from the Golden Robot Records catalogue
  • Proof of vaccination will need to be provided to take part in the initiative

Keep up with the latest music interviews, news and reviews here.

The Golden Robot Records catalogue spans a huge selection of iconic acts including Rose Tattoo, Dizzy Reed (Guns N’ Roses), LA Guns, Jefferson Starship, Horsehead, David Campbell, Hayley Jensen, Nick Barker, and loads more.

To get in on Rock The Vax, you’ll just need to email with your record request, postal address and digital vaccination certificate which you can find via the Medicare app.

“As the owner of a record label and a dedicated music lover, I just can’t sit back and watch a country I love have one of the lowest vax rates in the world,” said President and Founder of Golden Robot Global Entertainment, Mark Alexander-Erber.

“The music industry has suffered terribly since the start of this pandemic, as many bands rely on touring for the majority of their income. COVID-19 caused touring to come to a grinding halt and vaccination seems to be the only way to bring normality back to touring and our lives. Bands need to tour to promote albums and album sales can be elevated by touring,” he said.

Rock The Vax registrations close at midnight on August 15. Head to the Golden Robot Records website to browse the catalogue.
