Held at Kingston Arts, Southside Soul are known for their old school parties on the last Friday of every month, playing the sounds of the ’50s, ’60s and ’70s all on original vinyl 45″. Soul and funk act Fulton Street will also be getting on board.

With special guest DJs every month, Southside are rounding up the likes of Lady Soul, Lyndell Wilkinson, Miss Goldie and more for an evening of dance.

Alongside the DJ acts will be dance off competitions and raffle prizes. All proceeds will be donated to domestic abuse treatment centere Safe Steps.

“The reason for doing the fundraiser is to send a message of hope and love to these victims,” said Southside Soul’s Carol Quinlan. “To leave even a home full of violence is a hard thing to do, often having to leave with nothing, maybe change identity, change cities and leave extended family.”
