Battle 8 is the annual competition where Melbourne’s best DJ crews battle it out for their chance to be reigning champs. This year has been absolutely wild, with some of the most fierce performances yet. Seeing as each round is judged on how well each crew is able to whip the crowd into a frenzy, we’ve decided to recap all the action to get you amped for the unmissable final.

3181 Vs Super Tight

Let’s take it back to the beginning, shall we? Back in the first heat, 3181 and Super Tight brought rousing sets to the masses. The journey had just begun, and both crews were coming out of the gate hot. In the end, it was 3181 that took the title. Relive the glory below.

Pleasure Principle Vs Perfect Strangers

The second heat saw two crews — both equally potent players in their own right — duke it out. Crowds were getting looser and the beats were getting fatter. In the end, Positively Positive had it in them.

State of Soul Vs. MPMA

The third heat may have been the most hotly contested yet, and it’s safe to say both crews were giving it their all.

Loophole Recordings Vs Positively Positive

You hear that? That’s the sound of absolute breakbeat madness. Just look at the crowd. Shit’s getting crazy.
