The Espy in St Kilda, has brought Rockeoke to its Saturday night line-up, giving anyone with a bit of nerve and a love of a good singalong the chance to front a real band.
Karaoke is fun. A live band backing your big vocal moment while a room full of strangers cheers you on? Even better.
Punters can pick up the mic, step into the spotlight and take on the role of lead singer for the night, no rehearsal or prior experience required. Song choices can be sorted ahead of time through the website, or thrown to the band on the night for something a little more spontaneous.
Rockeoke runs from 11pm through to 2am, slotting neatly into that late-night window when the crowd is loose, the energy is up and everyone’s keen for one more song.
