Green Music Australia's Melbourne meetup is landing at Tempo Rubato in Brunswick this December for an afternoon of live music and climate discussion.
Climate-conscious musicians, music workers and music lovers are invited to spend the afternoon in Brunswick connecting over shared passion for environmental action. Hosted by musician and Green Music Australia community organiser Tim Shiel, the event creates a space for people invested in both music and climate to meet, exchange ideas and explore ways to get involved.
Running from 1pm to 6pm at Brunswick’s Tempo Rubato, the free event combines presentations, panel discussions and live performances with plenty of time for casual conversation. RSVPs are required but tickets cost nothing, making it accessible to anyone interested in the intersection of music and sustainability.

Presentations and panel discussions will feature experts on music and climate, unpacking how the industry can reduce its environmental impact. Live performances from friends of Green Music Australia will happen throughout the afternoon, including sets on Tempo Rubato’s 102-key Stuart & Sons handmade concert grand piano.
Small group circles offer opportunities for closer connections and brainstorming collective climate action. Whether you’re already active in environmental work or just starting to think about sustainability in music, the format allows for both learning and contributing ideas.
Green Music Australia continues working toward a vision of sustainable music events where environmental practices are implemented at every level. This meetup represents a chance to connect with others working toward that same goal while enjoying live music in one of Brunswick’s most welcoming venues.
