An official qualifying round, the winner will represent Australia at the Air Guitar World Championships in Finland.

Taking place at The Night Cat on August 6 this year, the Australian Air Guitar Championships will see airheads battling it out for the winning title. An official qualifying round of the Air Guitar World Championships, the winner will represent Australia in the international championships in Finland.

There’s still time left to enter – if you think you’ve got what it takes. Entry is free and it puts you in the running for a chance to travel to Oulu, Finland and participate in the Air Guitar World Championships. You’ll be representing Australia in Finland – and you don’t even need to have an instrument. 

The Air Guitar World Championships have been going down in Oulu since 1996. It’s an event that aims to promote world peace – after all, you can’t hold a gun while you play air guitar.

According to the ideology of the competition, wars would end, climate change stop and all bad things disappear, if all the people in the world played the Air Guitar. This is why the whole universe is invited to play the Air Guitar for the world peace at the end of the competition.

They also aim to be at the frontline of the field of events in sustainable development. By taking care of the environment, they also take care of the quality of their mutual instrument of choice: all the air guitars in the world.
