Sydney Road Street Party returns to Brunswick on 1 March with six+ hours of live music across four stages and a stack of local venues.
The annual street festival kicks off Brunswick Music Festival’s 38th year, transforming one of Melbourne’s most iconic strips into an open-air celebration spanning surf-punk to South African jazz, Turkish classical to youth Pasifika harmonies.
Roving performances, pop-up acoustic sets and spontaneous dance parties fill the gaps, while Brunswick’s beloved pubs throw open their doors for intimate sets running well into the night.

Four official stages anchor the free program. The Birum Djerring Stage hosts Máquina Peligrosa, The Kismet Project, Immy Owusu & Sensible J, Laura and the Hellcutz and AFROSPACE Interchange. The Engakeng-end (Song) Stage presents Pese Mai (Youth Pasifika Choir) alongside Liona Tatafu + Friends, Candice Lorrae, Voice of Lele and Philly. The Tonberang Ngarrga Stage belongs entirely to youth acts, while Kiss FM broadcasts live from their rave stage at Michelle Guglielmo Park.
Local venues run marathon programs throughout the day. The Bergy Bandroom hosts 10 acts from midday until late, Brunswick Ballroom presents nine including Dad Fight and The Meanies, and The Retreat, Co-Conspirators, Stay Gold and Bar Spontana all stack their own lineups.
