Time is running out to post your marriage equality votes and to celebrate the tireless work of the Yes campaigners and the LGBTIQ community, there’s a huge street party going down. The party will take place on the day the survey results are announced but whether the event entails drowning your sorrows or celebrating a win, depending on the result at hand, the event is all about love and support.
The party will see Lygon Street overcome with live music courtesy of Saskwatch, Lubulwa, Wet Lips, HEXDEBT, BV, Tanzer, Matka, Porkchops, Taur Minnie, Zelda Moon, The Ballarat Orchestra and loads more, plus there will be drag performances by the likes of Karen From Finance, dancing, food and drinks aplenty.
So come on down and show your love – unless you voted no, then you’re not invited.
