Inspired by the respective Cold Chisel song, Flame Trees details the story of Tess, an arsonist who murdered her best friend in a bushfire she lit. After serving her sentence, Tess returns to her hometown. But things are not the way they were before.
Her ex-boyfriend is now engaged, many of the townsfolk despise her, and Tess is unsure of how to mend the wounds she caused. Sally McLean breathes life into Tess’ story, while James Mason (Neighbours) makes his theatrical debut.
