The World’s First Emoji Restaurant Has Opened In Melbourne

textaurant.jpg

Helmed by critically acclaimed restaurateurs Randall Winters and James Candles (previously of Pho Shizz, Meat Your Maker and Brew Ha-Ha), pop-up eatery Textaurant boasts a menu that purely features dishes inspired by the emoji keyboard.

With a focus on sustainably sourced and seasonal ingredients, Textaurant is bringing the emoji keyboard to life by offering everything from burgers, burritos and hotdogs to sushi, rice and ramen dishes. Capping it off comes a Nutella and chocolate sorbet swirl, based on the so called ‘shit emoji’.

As well as the emoji-inspired menu, the hidden pop-up restaurant also features an innovative system in which punters text their table number along with the food-emoji of their choice to order their meal.
