The first single from This Modern Glitch (out in April) is ambitious UK indie – an ordinary song with an ordinary kind of chorus that is transformed by a bombastic arrangement and more-is-more approach to production. Drums slap aggressively, guitars fuzz out in icy ecstasy and the backing vocalists wail like a heavenly choir, raising the mercury just a little bit.
