This tight, uber masculine garage punk act from Melbourne follow in the rich Meanies/Tote tradition of balls-out pub-rock that never appealed to me but is nevertheless widely adored. Death In The US is the lead single from The Volatiles second EP, due out in August, and it showcases a tidy, growling guitar sound with a barking lead vocal. A decent, meaty rock and roll single.
