The beloved venue will soon begin hosting indoor and outdoor gigs.

The Tote has issued a call-out to local bands and musicians as it prepares to begin hosting live music again, revealing its COVID-Safe plan for gigs moving forward.

For the first time since the initial lockdown in March, The Tote will fire up the amps for gigs every Thursday-Saturday in the band room and outside on Saturdays.

Victoria’s current restrictions mean that all gigs must be seated with table service, with a maximum audience of 50 people in the band rooms. The Tote will hold two ticketed band room gigs each night featuring two bands per gig.

Replacing the front bar shows, The Tote will also introduce outside shows in Barter Town dubbed ‘Shout Out Shows’ set to go down every Saturday at 4pm – depending on the weather.

While the Shout Out Shows won’t be ticketed, a door charge will apply, all of which will be paid to the bands performing.

Bands wanting to play at The Tote are encouraged to email their proposals to the venue.

No dates have been announced just yet, so keep your eyes and ears peeled for more information.
