In the spirit of milestones, The Superjesus are celebrating twenty years of their iconic, platinum selling 1998 debut album Sumo with the release of a very special anniversary edition of the album on Friday August 17.

Specifically, you’ll be able to get your hands on the original album in reissued limited edition vinyl form or get the Sumo 20th Anniversary CD that features bonus live material and a never before heard studio recording: a cover of Kylie Minogues’s Confide In Me. The cover is particularly pertinent for front woman Sarah McLeod, since it was the number one single on the ARIA Chart the same month The Superjesus formed in 1994. It’s safe to say the interpretation is heavy as hell, and it’s got that undisputable Superjesus taste.

The Superjesus will be furthering the celebrations by hitting the road with a massive pile of gig dates around the country. They’ll be stopping in Melbourne for a few nights in October and making their way back towards the pointy end of the tour for one show in November.
