The Screaming Jets announce anniversary tour

The Screaming Jets

The Screaming Jets have today announced their re-loaded July to October 2022 tour dates, finally able to celebrate the 30th anniversary of their groundbreaking rock album, ‘All For One’.

Do The Screaming Jets even need an introduction?

Since the late 1980’s they have released eight albums, gaining more steam with each one as well as touring extensively nationwide. Nowadays, they’re one of Australia’s most esteemed rock and roll outfits, and they will finally be able to celebrate the 30th anniversary of their debut album, ‘All For One’, when they embark on a national tour later this year.

Announcing the re-loaded tour dates, the Screaming Jets will tour the nation from July into October, kicking off at the Pier Bandroom in Frankston on Friday July 22, before visiting 24 towns and cities across New South Wales, Queensland, Western Australian and Victoria, finishing up  at the Chealsea Heights Hotel on Friday October 14.

Across their tour, the rockers will take to local venues The Railway Hotel in Bannockburn on Sunday, July 24 and Gateway Hotel on Friday, October 7.

“Hey Rockers IT’S ON. The ALL FOR ONE 30th anniversary tour is hitting the road July 22 and we are ALL keen FOR a massive ONE,” says Dave Gleeson.

“This is the longest we have been forcibly kept apart.  We love playing with each other and hanging out together, so it has been really bloody tough for all of us. Come July, we are back at it and all the shit of the last few years will be in the rearview mirror. THANK FUCK!”

Originating from Newcastle, The Screaming Jets released their debut album ‘All For One’ in 1991. It peaked at #2 on the ARIA charts. The second single from the album, ‘Better’ was the song that introduced the band to the world and saw The Screaming Jets embark on their first world tour – to Europe, UK, USA and Canada.

In October 2021, The Screaming Jets released the 30th anniversary edition of ‘All For One’, the album making its presence felt once again as it landed straight back into the ARIA charts at #4, also topping the charts as #1 vinyl album!

The current line up re-recorded ‘All For One’ at the onset of the Covid 19 pandemic with a fresh new take. Overseen by original producer, Steve James, the album has been repackaged with new artwork with a clear reference to the original.

“The plan was always to re-record the album for the 30th anniversary milestone,” Gleeson says.

“We just didn’t realise we’d be recording under these circumstances. One of the things that we’ve always loved about the recording studio is that it’s a bunch of blokes, locked away in our own world creating and mucking on.  Obviously that option wasn’t open to us due to Covid, so we had to do it like the kids do. Our producer Steve James pulled it all together and because we weren’t messing around with arrangements it all went down very quickly and painlessly.”

Now, more than 30 years on, The Jets are ready to celebrate the anniversary of the album that started it all with a national tour – where the band will perform ‘All For One’ in its entirety from start to finish for the very first time.
