The Rocky Horror Show Announces Melbourne Season

rockyfilmlogo.jpg

The Rocky Horror Show is a true cult classic and one of theatre’s most endearing and outrageously fun shows. It opened at London’s Royal Court Theatre in June 1973, quickly developing a cult following, and was adapted into the 1975 film The Rocky Horror Picture Show, which has the longest-running release in film history. Songs such as Sweet Transvestite, Dammit Janet and of course The Time Warp have become generational classics.

Since tickets for The Rocky Horror Show went on sale last week in Brisbane, Adelaide and Perth, the demand has been huge. Playing the coveted role of Frank N Furter will be television and theatre star Craig McLachlan, fresh from shooting the title role in the second series of ABC TV’s top rating drama series The Doctor Blake Mysteries. Further cast members will be announced at the end of September.
