They’ll be bringing their huge 16-piece lineup for a special public holiday eve show. This will be the first show of the year for the band, who typically only play a few headline shows a year due to the sheer logistics of bringing the entire crew together.

In 2016 the orchestra partnered with PBS FM to present a set of Fela Kuti’s music with a horde of special guest vocalists and MCs.

The also created a live video reworking Fela’s Sorrow, Tears and Blood in support of asylum seekers. This year, the band is in the final stages of mixing their second album which is due for release later in the year.
