The UK band toured in Australia earlier this year.
Keith Flint, frontman for UK electronic outfit The Prodigy, has passed away at age 49 in London.
As the ABC reports, Flint’s death is not being treated as suspicious. A post by bandmate Liam Howlett on The Prodigy’s Instagram account said Flint took his own life.
“I’m shell shocked, fuckin angry, confused and heartbroken ….. r.i.p brother,” Howlett said.
Flint’s look was immediately recognisable, with heavy eye makeup and haircuts resembling that of devil’s horns. His international success flung ’90s British rave culture out of the shadows and into the spotlight. The Prodigy toured Australia in early 2019, taking over the Melbourne Arena and putting on one hell of a show.
Fellow musicians have expressed their condolences.
