The Prince delivers sun-soaked parties, pop punk powerhouses, Afro-house hits and Irish indie this November

The Prince may very well be one of our favourite places to hang out when the weather gets a little nicer.

Not only is it spitting distance from St Kilda beach, but it’s also got everything a guy could need: a sprawling street-side patio perfect for people watching, a charming little wine bar for great drops and bougie bites, a bigger public bar for live sports and pub food classics and even a hotel if you have one too many and can’t make it home. Plus the iconic bandroom – more on that to come.

The Prince has a highly curated selection of events on this month, bringing you only the best. With international talents, Melbourne debuts and a massive Saturday bash on the calendar, you don’t want to miss out. Here’s what’s happening.

Stay up to date with what’s happening in and around Melbourne here.

SUNRAYVE Day Club

Get ready for a sun-soaked dance-floor spectacle at Prince Bandroom where classic club anthems meet retro grooves and modern bangers. With the balcony overlooking St Kilda and a DJ lineup to keep you moving, it’s the perfect Saturday afternoon blow-out.

Expect a mix of feel-good house, funky remixes and that golden era of dance music where everyone remembers the chorus, even if it’s been a while. Bring your crew, your dancing shoes, and make sure to  take a visit to the balcony to soak the sunset before diving back into the groove.

The Coronas

Irish indie-rockers The Coronas are heading back to Melbourne and they’re bringing heart-on-sleeve riffs, sing-along choruses and storytelling lyrics. Known for four consecutive #1 albums in Ireland and their high-energy live shows, they’ll mix fan favourites with fresh tracks from their latest record Thoughts & Observations.

Lead vocalist Danny O’Reilly has said Australia feels like “home” to the band and he’s pumped to return. It’ll be a set dripping with charm, cheeky Irish banter, and that special vibe you only get when a trio as tight as these guys hits a live stage.

Aaron Sevilla

Get ready, Melbourne: Aaron Sevilla, the Mexican DJ and producer tearing up the global Afro-House scene, is making his debut at Prince Bandroom this November. Straight out of Mexico’s underground scene, Sevilla blends punchy Afro and Latin percussion with dreamy vocal hooks.

Over the past few years, he’s taken his hypnotic groove to major festivals like Tomorrowland and Untold Festival, and brought his “Afrodise” party ethos to Ibiza, Tulum, Mykonos and Dubai. Now it’s Melbourne’s turn to get in on that sun-soaked vibe.

Everclear

Longtime alt-rock favourites Everclear (yes, those guys who made Santa Monica a household sing-along) are celebrating the 30th anniversary of their platinum-selling, major-label debut album Sparkle & Fade. It’ll be a nostalgic journey starting in the mid-’90s when art-school angst met crunchy guitars, through to now.

Frontman Art Alexakis says the album “changed everything” for them, and on this tour they’re planning to play pretty much the entire record live. If you’ve got a soft spot for hard-driving hooks, earnest lyrics and that sweet spot of pop-punk turned alternative rock, this is the night to head on down to St Kilda.
