Bad news if you were hoping to catch a set from Chromeo at this year’s SITG. The electro-funk duo have announced they are no longer able to make the trip to Australia for the festival due to the strain of their gruelling tour schedule. The pair sent their apologies through the statement below:
To our funkateers & chromettes in Australia,
We are truly sorry to announce that our upcoming July shows in Sydney, Melbourne and Splendour In The Grass have been cancelled. It’s been so long since we’ve visited you last and we were so excited to play for you. Unfortunately, the rigors of our touring schedule have caught up with us and we need to prioritize our health and wellbeing. We’re being told that this period would be best served as a time to rest. This was not an easy call to make. We hope you understand. Please know that we’re doing everything we can to reschedule our time in Australia. We will see you all soon.

The good news, however, is that they’ll be replaced by The Presets, who just wrapped up their sell-out Hi-Viz Australian tour. So if you missed them on their tour, now’s the perfect time to catch them.
