Expect to hear favourites including Wagner’s The Ride of the Valkyries, Beethoven’s iconic Fifth Symphony, Ravel’s impassioned Bolero and O Sole Mio – which Elvis recreated as It’s Now Or Never – among others.
Featuring guest artists soprano Greta Bradman and tenor Rosario La Spina, the MSO and the MSO Chorus will be under the baton of Associate Conductor Benjamin Northey.
“If you love music, and maybe you’ve never seen a symphony orchestra perform live, you can enjoy all the best symphonic hits in one memorable performance,” said Northey.
Executive Producer and Visy Chairman Anthony Pratt said audiences are in for a treat.
“I guarantee they’ll instantly recognise the classics, and hearing a symphony orchestra play Tchaikovsky’s ultimate masterpiece, 1812 Overture complete with canons, will just blow their minds.”
