The Middle East To Preview New Songs In Summer Shows

Townsville’s The Middle East and Spunk Records proudly present new single Jesus Came To My Birthday Party, and the band will preview this song along with their forthcoming debut album across several summer dates.

Recently returned from an epic tour across North America, the UK and Europe, Townsville’s The Middle East have taken some time off, written some new songs, and are now preparing to play summer shows across Australia.

Having developed their songwriting, scope and identity widely since 2009’s celebrated The Recordings of the Middle East, the band will preview a number of songs from their forthcoming debut album, including the new single Jesus Came To My Birthday Party.

The Middle East are playing sets at Southbound Festival in Western Australia, Brisbane’s Sunset Sounds, and Falls Festival in both Lorne, Victoria and Marion Bay, Tasmania.

They will also take part in guest performances with The National, and an intimate rooftop performance in Melbourne with Mountain Man.

Further album details and news of album previews will be announced in early 2011.
