According to the pairing’s artist statement, they were match-made by Campbelltown Arts Centre through a two-week artistic exchange program in Sydney in August 2014.

Discovering a good working chemistry, they agreed to work towards a collaborative dance creation involving rope.

As the pair move with ropes strangling them from head to toe, they look to arrive at a heightened shared experience, making visible the tension and friction the ropes inevitably place between them. The title Bunny comes from the nickname given to a person tied in rope bondage.
