Later this month The B.East, Melbourne Hot Sauce and Changz Hot Sauce will host the Melbourne Chilli Eating Championships.
The rules:
– Rounds will start off easy and getting progressively hotter.
– Rounds will vary from fresh pods, food and drink concoctions, starting from jalapeno and progressing to Carolina reaper.
– If competitor is vegan/vegetarian they must stipulate upon application to the competition and they can accommodate you.
– Disqualification is by way off knock out, tap out, pass out or spew out.
– Competitors will be given no napkins.
– You will be given a pint of beer and a glass of milk to taunt you into tapping out.
– You will be given a spew bucket.
Prizes involve cash, loads of hot sauces, vouchers, merchandise and of course, glory.
The event will be hosted by chief wise-crack Yeti of The B.East’s Heavy Metal Trivia, Richard from Melbourne Hot Sauce and Josh from Changz. They will collectively be spilling the chilli facts and taunting the competitors throughout the event. The Davidson Brothers, DJ Johnny El Pajaro, Iaki Vallejo and The Hits from Colombia will be bringing the tunes from 12pm.
Registration fee for the competition is $10 and will include a free beer and a bottle hot sauce on the day of the championship.
