Friday kicks off with Norwood’s alt-folk sounds and Brisbane psych-rockers Full Flower Moon Band before Baker Boy takes the headline slot with his high-energy performance style.
Saturday is absolutely stacked; local duo The Wildlings open before Queenie, Felicity Urquhart & Josh Cunningham, and the Andrew Gurruwiwi Band from North East Arnhem Land take the stage. Bleak Squad, the new all-star project featuring Mick Harvey, Mick Turner and Adalita, will make an appearance before Emma Donovan delivers Take Me To The River, her tribute to soul icons.
Cash Savage & The Last Drinks bring their powerhouse energy before The Living End close out the night as one of Australia’s best live acts.
Sunday wraps things up with Daisy Kilbourne, spaghetti-western inspired project The Counterfeit featuring Freya Josephine Hollick, indie-pop favourite Merpire, and Paul Dempsey’s Shotgun Karaoke before roots legend Xavier Rudd finishes the festival. RocKwiz’s Brian Nankervis returns as MC to keep everything flowing with his trademark games and banter throughout the weekend.
Paddlesteamer sideshows aboard the PS Pevensey are back too, offering intimate one-hour performances while cruising down the Murray.
These always sell out fast, so getting in early is essential. Just two and a half hours from Melbourne, Riverboats has carved out a reputation as one of the country’s most loved festivals thanks to its relaxed riverside vibe and carefully curated lineup.
