The Delines, the beloved Portland-based country soul outfit led by Willy Vlautin, have announced an extra special show at the intimate Merri Creek Tavern.
Fans lucky enough to secure tickets to this intimate event on June 15 will witness The Delines perform their 2019 album, The Imperial, in its entirety. To make an already incredible evening even better – each ticket will get you a free cassette of the album, courtesy of Love Police Records & Tapes.

Joining The Delines on stage at the Merri Creek Tavern are local talents Shaky Stills, who will set the mood with their captivating opening act. This eclectic lineup promises a night filled with soul-stirring melodies and heartfelt performances.
Led by Willy Vlautin and vocalist Amy Boone, The Delines are renowned for their mesmerising catalogue, drawing from their critically acclaimed album The Sea Drift. Willy, a celebrated novelist and former frontman of alt-country group Richmond Fontaine, brings his storytelling prowess to the stage, weaving captivating narratives with soulful melodies.
Speaking on the inspiration for their new record, Willy said “The idea for the The Sea Drift began with Amy and my mutual love of Tony Joe White. We used to have conversations about his records and she’d always joke, ‘Just write me Rainy Night in Georgia.’ Jesus, what a tall order, but I guess in my own way I started trying.”
The Delines’ Cassette Party in Melbourne promises to be a night of timeless music, blending soul, country, and heartfelt storytelling.
