This year, the event has made a few exciting changes, including a new layout, a Mindful Mob Healing Market hosting spiritual healing, workshops, and storytelling, and even more stallholders.

The music program is curated by music industry pro Juliette Lalli. Kicking off at 5pm on Friday, December 15, Triple R’s DJ Jas Moore will take over the decks, followed by First Nations singer-songwriter Pirritu, post-punk rockers Hooper Crescent and psychedelic alt-pop purveyors Sunfruits.

On Saturday, catch a packed live music lineup featuring local favourites The Prize, It Thing, OUZO!, Muma Ganoush, Quality Used Cars and Pat Telfer’s Free Play.

To cap off the weekend, jam out to Jarabi Band, Danika, Chitra, Sunny Morris, Deuce and Fonzie, all set to perform on Sunday.

Starting in 2010 as an off-shoot of the Queen Vic Market’s Summer Night Market series, the Coburg Night Market has grown into a much loved family-friendly event. This year, little ones enjoy a collage workshop hosted by local artist and illustrator Beci Orpin as well as a hilarious clown experience with performers Tim Sneddon and Lumi Bloom.

With street food, open-air bars, plenty of locally crafted goods and live entertainment galore, the Coburg Night Market is a wholesome community event you won’t want to miss.

It all goes down from December 15 to 17. For more information on the Coburg Night Market 2023 event, head here
