The Chats, known for their energetic and raucous performances, are the driving force behind Bargain Bin Records, a label they created in 2019 to release their own albums and support their talented mates. Over the years, the label has grown, releasing over 25 albums and rare 7-inch records for top Australian bands like King Stingray, C.O.F.F.I.N, Dennis Cometti, and many more. To celebrate The Chats taking their Bargain Bin roster on tour in February, the label plans to release some extra special 7-inch splits, so stay tuned for more exciting news.

If you haven’t heard of The Chats by now, you’re in for a treat. This trio is a once-in-a-generation punk band that has reinvigorated popular music with its raw rock ‘n’ roll roots. They’ve made an immediate connection with audiences worldwide, releasing two albums, including the chart-topping GET F*CKED that has kept them touring globally and sharing stages with rock legends like Guns N’ Roses, Foo Fighters, and Queens of the Stone Age.

Joining the tour is Mean Jeans, a trio of punk rock goofballs from the USA, known for their fast, loud, and catchy tunes. Born in Portland in 2007, their music is all about pizza, space travel, and having a good time. With a hefty discography of records on Dirtnap and Fat Wreck Chords, Mean Jeans are the perfect party companions for The Chats.

Melbourne’s latest sensation, The Prize, is a breath of fresh air in the rock scene, blending power pop and rock ‘n’ roll. In their short time together, they’ve shared the stage with luminaries like Pavement and King Gizzard And The Lizard Wizard during a European tour. The Prize promises to keep the energy levels high during the Bargain Bin 2024 Tour.

The Unknowns, featuring two-thirds of The Chats, will also make appearances at selected shows. This Brisbane band deals in a nostalgic blend of garage rock with power pop sensibilities and heartfelt lyrics, having already released two sentimental albums and toured with notable acts like The Meanies and Ed Kuepper (The Saints).

Brisbane’s legendary Boondall Boys, featuring Mad Macka from the Onyas, Egos, and Cosmic Psychos, have re-emerged to bring their dark, paint-stripping sludge to a new generation. Their seminal 2008 record, Hard Rubbish, is back in action after years of limited availability.

Completing the lineup is WA’s Ghoulies, a punk supergroup known for their fast, catchy, and weird rock songs. Their impressive track record includes sharing the stage with Thee Osees, Gee Tee, Ty Segall, Black Lips, Spread Joy, and The Bronx, as well as performing at numerous European festivals.
