The Betoota Advocate editors are heading on a live speaking tour

Clancy Overell and Errol Parker, the brains behind satirical online publication The Betoota Advocate, have announced they’ll be heading on a speaking tour later this year which you can bet will be more along the lines of a comedy set than the serious business and history lecture it is claiming to deliver.

The Betoota Advocate has garnered massive attention with headlines such as ‘Inner City Leftie Saves The World By Positing Leftie Stuff On Facebook To Other Lefties’, and ‘Australia Enjoys Another Peaceful Day Under Oppressive Gun Control Laws’, covering everything from political events to the types of people you find down at the pub, each designed to be more entertaining than factual.

The Advocate is renowned for its sharp wit, highly relatable content and the inexplicable rate in which it churns out 10/10 material and although the brains behind the publication have found branched out into everything from their own podcast to a Betoota book, this will be the editors’ first live tour.

The tour will see Betoota’s editor Clancy Overell and the editor-at-large, Errol Parker, along with a special guest, giving guests a history lesson on the publication’s ‘hometown’ of Betoota — which in actual fact is a ghost town in Birdsville — as well as an entrepreneurial lesson on how to build a media empire in this day and age, which basically means you can expect an hour and a half of hilarious shit-talking.

The massive 13-date tour will hit cities across the country throughout November, promising an entertaining evening for attendees, at the very least.
