This locally loved burger and band joint will be feeding you everything you need as Naarm rolls into summer and the heat starts to settle in. Get hungry for some great local acts and interstate superstars, as well as what will be the most adorable outing with the puppy pub crawl. • Sunday December 1, from 12pm

It’s exactly what it sounds like. An afternoon pub crawl, plus some pups. Not only will there be a spectacular assortment of human drinks and snacks across a range of venues around Lygon Street in Brunswick East, but the furry friends tagging along will also get their fair share of refreshments and treats. This is the perfect way to make both some new people-friends and new dog-friends. Your good boys and girls will no doubt lap up all the attention that will be coming their way.

Twangover: Southern Lightning

  • Sunday December 1, from 3pm

It’s a hangover, but make it twang. Twangover is your dusty Sunday cure that is as good as any hair of the dog. Joined by rock legends Southern Lightning, this is the perfect treat for the end of the week. Or the beginning – whatever floats your twangover. You’ll get a whole lot of twang served up on the stage, which coincidentally pairs perfectly with any one of The Beast’s burg and beer combos.

  • Wednesday December 4, from 8pm

Bayside-based soul/funk duo Social Street have this Wednesday in December sorted for you with a night of delectable soul beats at The Beast. They make the kind of sounds you’ll want to just sink right into – which are also the kind of sounds that are perfect for  soundtracking you as you sink into a juicy burg. Nothing says hump day like some stellar music on a stunning summer’s night.

Saul Goodmans

  • Thursday December 5, from 8pm
  • With Crank Williams

Better call up The Beast for this first Thursday in December and check out the tunes they’re slinging left and right. Saul Goodmans will be taking over the stage, joined by alt/country musician Crank Williams. Things are cranking up at The Beast, and sounding pretty bloody good all the while.

  • With Terra Rouge and Heart Shaped Aces

Self-described Newcastle Girl Band is coming to town, and they’re not fluffing around. Butter Knife is a must-see to catch while they’re passing through Naarm, having brought out their debut EP earlier this year and have risen the rockstar ranks since. They’ll be joined by fellow rockers Terra Rouge and Heart Shaped Aces.

  • Saturday December 7, from 9pm
  • With You Might Hit The Sun and Peter Haren and the Wolves

Things are getting heated for this Saturday in December as Tetsuians take over The Beast band room. Teased as their last show of the year, you’re best to catch them in 2024 while you still can. Tetsuians will share the bill with five-piece rock band You Might Hit The Sun, as well as the legendary Peter Haren and the Wolves.
