It is the first time that a new choreographer has been announced in over a decade, and the prestigious honour has been awarded to former Senior Artist of The Australian Ballet, Tim Harbour. The artists is known for his works Halcyon (2010), Sweedeedee (2012) and Best New Work in Dance Australia’s Critic Choice Awards nominee Sunken Waltz (2005).
