Entries for the 2011 Angry Film Festival close on Monday February 28. Hurry and get your film in.

Are you a film maker who just wants to get their film screened for god’s sake? Well there’s no point getting angry about it, just enter the 9th Angry Film Festival and all will be well (hopefully).

But you’ll have to hurry! The deadline to get your films in is on Monday February 28. That’s this Monday!

Films need to be under 15 minutes in length and Australian and International entrants are urged to send in their shorts.

Once the finalists are announced, their films will be screened in March. One night will screen the Australian finalists and the other International ones.

Download the entry form here or see angryproductions.org for more details.

Winners for the 2010 Australian shorts were Mutt, by Glen Hunwick for Best Film; Miracle Fish by Luke Doolan for Best Director; and Then She Was Gone by Burleigh Griffith for the Best Screenplay. There was also a best actor award that went to Pier Carthew in Chequered Paint.

The Angry Film Festival started off when director Tom Vogel wanted somewhere to screen his film The Angry Penguin and is now in its 9th year running. Get in there!

Miracle Fish has since then received awards at the Reno Film Festival, Taoz Shorts Film Festival and been nominated for an Oscar. Youtube clip underneath…
