The Amity Affliction are coming to Destroy Music and with friends like I Killed The Prom Queen, Deez Nuts and Of Mice And Men it won’t be too difficult.
Slap on your battle jacket and combat boots headbangers, there’s a hell of a mosh pit coming your way. The Amity Affliction are heading to Melbourne for the Destroy Music Festival and they’re bringing some heavy support in the form of a reformed I Killed The Prom Queen, the eccentric Deez Nuts and US metalcore thrashers Of Mice And Men on their first Australian tour.
Fresh off the back of not one but two UK tours and even a continental European jaunt and the Australian Soundwave Festival The Amity Affliction boys aren’t slowing down any time soon. They’re heading across the Pacific for a huge run in the US with their new friends Of Mice And Men, culminating with a show at the famous SXSW Festival.
Heroes of Australian heaviness I Killed The Prom Queen disbanded back in 2008 and are now spread across some big names in metalcore like Bring Me The Horizon, Deez Nuts and In Trenches.
Relative newcomers Deez Nuts, with drummer JJ Peters who’s going to have a hell of a time drumming for both I Killed The Prom Queen and Deez Nuts, and Of Mice And Men will have their chance to show off for Melbourne audiences on two dates.
There’s an under 18’s gig at Billboard The Venue on Friday May 20 and the next night for the over 18’s show. Clothing brand Atticus are putting on a special offer for Destroy Music, with pre-sale tickets going on sale at noon today on their website, with every pre-sale ticket receiving a free Amity Affliction t-shirt.
