ARIA have teamed up with YouTube Music to deliver this year’s awards ceremony via live broadcast.

ARIA have announced how the 2020 ARIA Awards will look, with YouTube Music set to deliver this year’s instalment of annual awards ceremony to screens around the world. Held at The Star Event Centre in Sydney, the awards will substitute a physical audience for a live broadcast.

Nominees will be revealed in October, with winners to be announced live from The Star Event Centre stage on November 25. This year’s event will mark the ARIA Awards’ second year partnering with YouTube Music.

This year has been incredibly testing for the music industry, with the bushfires and the current COVID-19 pandemic each resulting in cancelled gigs, tours and festivals. This year’s special ARIA Awards ceremony will celebrate the power and strength of Australia’s music industry.

“It has been a hugely challenging year for everyone around Australia and indeed the world,” said ARIA Chief Executive, Dan Rosen.

“With this year’s ARIA Awards, we want to celebrate the resilience, strength, and camaraderie that our artists and the music industry have shown throughout 2020, and celebrate the successes of the Australian music industry, both locally and on the global stage,” he added.
