The 1975’s Matty Healy, Ruel and more team up for An Acoustic Bushfire Relief Concert

All proceeds will go towards WIRES and Firesticks.

Currently in the country for St. Jerome’s Laneway Festival, The 1975 frontman Matty Healy has announced An Acoustic Bushfire Relief Concert which will see him performing alongside the likes of Ruel, Mansionair, E^ST and KUČKA.

Going down tomorrow night in Sydney, the special concert will see the artists stripping back their tracks for an evening of intimate, acoustic performances.

The announcement comes just days after The 1975 were forced to cancel their appearance at Brisbane’s Laneway Festival due to issues with Healy’s health.

“It is with great regret that we are unable to play this evening in Brisbane. Matty was hospitalised following a bout of serious sickness and unfortunately after a medical examination at 5.30pm today the doctor has advised that Matty is too weak to play,” the band said in a statement on Saturday.

Healy and co. were back on stage the following night for the Sydney leg of their Laneway run, with the 1975 frontman donning a hospital gown and wheeling an IV stand for the performance.
