TEENS are showcasing at BIGSOUND before carting second album Negative Energy up the east coast.
Nipaluna/Hobart’s TEENS are spending a chunk of spring on the road, touring second album Negative Energy across 12 dates.
The run opens with a hometown night at Hobart’s Altar Bar on 24 October, then threads through Victoria, New South Wales and Queensland before TEENS bring it home at Byron Bay’s Psych On This Fest on 21 November. Melburnians get two goes at it, with the Cactus Room on 6 November and The Tote on 8 November.

The itinerary’s biggest curveball is a support slot for Foo Fighters at Sydney’s Accor Stadium on 10 November. That’s comfortably the largest room the three-piece will play, a fair leap from the smaller venues where they cut their teeth.
First, though, comes BIGSOUND. The trio of Shawn Arnold, Alex Davern and Jono Tate land in Meanjin/Brisbane for the industry showcase, with sets on 2 September at Blute’s and 3 September at Tomcat, before a free, all-ages show at Miami Marketta on the Gold Coast on 4 September.
Negative Energy arrived in September 2025 via No Sleep Records and Psychedelic Salad Records, a quick turnaround from the self-titled debut TEENS dropped in 2024. Both first pressings sold out, and the nine-track album has drawn airplay across the US, UK, Europe and New Zealand, plus rotation on Australian community radio, including a Soundscape placement on 3RRR and spins from US stations KEXP and KCRW.
The tour caps a relentless stretch that’s taken in much of Tasmania’s festival calendar, from Dark Mofo and Mona Foma to Party In The Paddock and Falls Festival, alongside support slots for DZ Deathrays, Hard-Ons and Polish Club. TEENS deal in noisy, high-strung post-punk that lurches between grit and quiet, with despair and alienation threaded through it. Tickets aren’t on sale just yet, so it’s worth keeping tabs on the band’s channels for on-sale details.
