Tammy Haider launches her sophomore album, Castrati Meow, a release Aldora Britain Records calls “unquestionably an alternative underground gem for the modern era,” while Ragworld praises it as “one big album that displays so much wonderful personality through stories and personal perspectives—you really can’t turn away from it.”
Haider will be joined by Andy Papadopoulos (bass) and Amanda Kerr (vocals and keys) to perform the record’s 90s-inflected folk-pop songs. Marked by Haider’s characterisitic lyrical candour, Castrati Meow is catchy, approachable, and complex, unfolding with unexpected turns that are at once soothing, wistful, and utterly human.
