Japan's coolest late-night lounge scene is coming to Carlton, for a T2 takeover with free matcha and a live vinyl DJ.
T2 and Good Measure are serving up something special this Friday. Melbourne is getting its first-ever matcha kissa experience, in Carlton for one night only.
The tea giants have partnered with the Carlton cocktail bar to create an authentic Japanese listening lounge. Good Measure will transform completely for this one-night adventure. T2 brings three new matcha flavours to the party.
Japan’s kissa culture centres on deep listening and high-fidelity sound. These unique venues blend café vibes with serious music appreciation. Melbourne’s matcha obsession meets Tokyo’s late-night lounge scene in this exciting collaboration.

Good Measure’s viral drink menu gets a Japanese makeover for the evening. The venue has crafted three bespoke matcha creations using T2’s latest flavours. Peach and Strawberry matcha make their debut alongside the returning White Chocolate variety.
The Triple Strawberry Matcha combines T2 Strawberry Matcha with lacto-strawberry soy milk and strawberry foam. White Chocolate Marble Matcha features T2 White Chocolate with coconut oat milk and cherry cold brew. The Peach Matcha Spider mixes T2 Peach Matcha with pomegranate iced tea and ginger lychee sorbet.
Sweet treats complement the matcha experience perfectly. Good Measure will serve Japanese-inspired desserts throughout the night. Matcha Basque Cheesecake and White Chocolate Matcha Brownie both feature T2’s signature matcha powder.
The venue undergoes a complete transformation with moody lighting and layered Japanese styling. Local DJ LXY takes control of the decks from 7:30pm. Her carefully curated vinyl selection spans jazz-house, lo-fi and lounge beats.
