Prog/rock/metal act Sydonia and The Nerve / Over-Reactor frontman Ezekiel Ox have been picked up for management by Brisbane-based Pricewar Music.

Pricewar Music’s roster includes The Good Ship, The Blackwater Fever, Storm Chasers and Jackson Dunn. It was set up by Tim Price who recently set up PR business Collision Course PR while the Central Queensland boutique festival El Grande Festival which he runs with former Epidemic… Over frontman Nathan Bedford has twice sold out.

Aside from management, the Sydonia deal also includes booking and PR for the time being. Sydonia’s frontman Dana Roskvist said, “We couldn’t be happier. We have a second album to put out in early 2014 and we have found Pricewar Music to help us going forward.”

The Ezekiel Ox deal only covers management for his solo work. Harbour’s Dan Sant looks after bookings and Bird’s Robe Records his releases. He reckons the deal will see more solo material coming in addition to that from his bands. “I am over the moon to be working with Pricewar, and look forward to building this facet of my career through 2014 and beyond,” he stated.

In the meantime, Dot Dash / Remote Control signed Sunbeam Sound Machine, the moniker of 23 year old Melbourne musician Nick Sowersby.  Beginning to write and record in his mid-teens, he sang and played guitar in bands over the past five years.

He formed the five-piece Sunbeam Sound Machine this year for live gigs, with Lochy Funston (drums), Jeffrey Bartels (bass), David Cameron (guitar) and Sophie Treloar (vocals). A double EP of dreamy pop is out November 29.
