Sydney’s three-hat restaurant Sepia is Moving to Melbourne

Lucas, founder and CEO of The Lucas Group, runs popular Melbourne diners Chin Chin, Hawker Hall, Kong, Baby and The Botanical.

With the lease on their downtown Sydney restaurant coming to an end in 2018, Chef Martin Benn and front-of-house manager Vicki Wild of Sepia say the time is right for them to reinvent the Japanese-influenced restaurant.

They’re unashamedly planning for a restaurant of international acclaim, but don’t expect it to just be Sepia South.

The pair don’t want to just drop the same restaurant in Melbourne, they want to step it up.
