Swedish violincore pioneers Imminence will return to Australia this October for their first headline tour.
One of the most in-demand acts in modern alternative music, Imminence have spent over a decade crafting their trademark take on heavy music. The band blends classical string arrangements with ferocious Scandinavian metal, creating what fans have aptly dubbed violincore. Their unique sonic approach pushes alternative metalcore into territories that few could dream of exploring.
The Swedish maestros will kick off their Australian 2025 headline tour in Brisbane before visiting Sydney, Melbourne, Adelaide and Perth. This marks their first full headline tour down under, following their successful debut Australian performances at Good Things Festival last year. Their standalone sideshows sold out in record time, demonstrating the growing appetite for their distinctive sound among Australian audiences.

Imminence boasts an elegant ferocity that obliterates genre confines. Their discography showcases fluctuating masterpieces spanning from their 2014 debut album I through to 2024’s The Black. The band also re-recorded their debut for its 10th anniversary, releasing The Reclamation of I in 2024. This year saw them unveil The Return of The Black, an expanded edition featuring remastered versions and guest musicians.
The live Imminence experience balances violin virtuosity with sprawling heaviness, enigmatic theatricality and raw intimacy. Their signature violincore style creates palpitating moments that showcase both technical prowess and emotional depth. The band’s performances blend the sophistication of classical arrangements with the power of modern metalcore.
Their touring history includes sharing stages with giants of the heavy scene such as Bring Me The Horizon, Architects and In Flames. Before returning to Australia, Imminence will appear at major international festivals including Hellfest, 2000trees Festival, Louder Than Life Festival and Aftershock.
The band’s success spans millions of streams and online followers, performances at some of the biggest heavy festivals globally, and entirely sold out shows. Their growing reputation in the alternative metalcore scene continues to expand as they push boundaries and create new sonic territories.
