Get out the camp chair, picnic rug and sunscreen ‘cause Sunset Sounds is returning this spring.

Festival season is fast approaching and with that, Sunset Sounds has confirmed it will be returning for 2021, hitting Roche Estate in New South Wales’ Hunter Valley before gracing Hastings Reserve on the Mornington Peninsula.

There’s an all star lineup of home-grown talent in store for the events. Among the beloved acts heading the bill for Victoria are Xavier Rudd, Pete Murray, Kasey Chambers and The Church.

What you need to know

  • Sunset Sounds Festival is returning this spring, going down on Sunday November 28
  • The event will be headlined by iconic Australian singer-songwriters Xavier Rudd, Pete Murray and Kasey Chambers
  • The Victorian instalment of the festival will be held at Hastings Foreshore Reserve on the Mornington Peninsula

Keep up with all the latest festival news, reviews and interviews here.

Joining the aforementioned artists are singer-songwriters Josh Pyke, D’Arcy Spiller, Ben Lee and Kyle Lionhart. Sunset Sounds is being presented by Empire Touring, and will have all the necessary COVIDSafe provisions in place – all the more reason to embrace the (hopefully) sunny, relaxed afternoon of live music.

“It’s been a very long time since I’ve been to the Mornington Peninsula and I’m stoked to be traveling there for Sunset Sounds Festival. This is gonna be a special day on magical Bunurong country, let’s light it up!” Rudd said of this year’s event.

Something to look forward to as we weather this chilly winter, the daytime festival will start at 1pm on Sunday November 28 and wrap up around 8pm on the day.

Sunset Sounds goes down at Hastings Foreshore Reserve on the Mornington Peninsula on Sunday November 28. Tickets go on sale here from Friday July 2.
