Subsonic Music Festival is set to mark its 15th anniversary with a return to its scenic home just north of Sydney from November 29 to December 1, 2024.
Known as one of Australia’s most celebrated underground music and lifestyle events, the festival promises a weekend filled with music, art, and immersive experiences.
This year’s event will be held at Riverwood Downs on Worimi Country, NSW, and will be a completely BYO festival. Attendees can expect a diverse lineup that includes international and Australian talent, live acts, DJs, workshops, and lifestyle activities. The festival’s setting along a river in a world heritage-listed area adds to its unique appeal.

Festival Director Scott Commens highlighted the significance of this year’s milestone: “We’ve come a long way since our first festival, and it’s been incredible to see the community grow and evolve with us. This year’s lineup is a reflection of our journey – a blend of the sounds that have defined us over the years and fresh, innovative artists who are shaping the future of music.”
The 15th edition features an eclectic array of international headliners, including Radio Slave, Toman, Gene on Earth, Vril, Polygonia, and Viken Arman, as well as renowned figures like DJ Zip and Sammy Dee. These artists will be joined by a strong lineup of local and interstate acts, such as Becca Hatch, who will make her Subsonic debut, and live performers like Moontide and The Oddness.
Subsonic’s dedication to fostering a vibrant community is underscored by its varied workshop offerings within The Village space. Festivalgoers can engage in ice baths by the river, morning yoga sessions, sound immersions, and more. “Our community is what makes Subsonic special,” said Commens. “Whether it’s through a shared love of music, art, or simply the joy of being together in such a beautiful setting, Subsonic is a place where everyone is welcome, and everyone is part of the experience.”
